Car Rental To really enjoy Norfolk, a car is almost essential and this is made easy by the fact that hire charges are possibly the cheapest in the world. Normally just a small car is needed as you will probably not travel much more than 200 kilometres a week. However, large, air-conditioned, automatic cars are available and, for groups, ten-seater 'people movers' or even coaches. All operators will arrange for your car to be delivered to your accommodation or, better still, waiting at the airport for your arrival . Your current driving licence is acceptable. See also chapter on 'Socialising'
Cigarettes and Tobacco: These are available at retail outlets such as Foodland for considerably less than mainland price. See section 'Planning your Budget'.
Climate: See section 'When to Go'
Clothing: For most of the year, casual, lightweight clothing is fine but take some warmer gear for the months of June-September. Also take your favourite walking shoes as there are some wonderful walks.
